Joanne Weaver BA Hons.

Joanne was born in Kent in 1968. She spent 23yrs as a qualified nurse before following her passion and studying a part-time fine art degree at Canterbury UCA. Nursing and art have often run parallel to each other. Joanne now works in her Sutton Valence studio and often, but not always, makes work relating to the human condition and health. She has exhibited in London, being selected for several open competitions including Threadneedle 2012, Shape Open, 2015 and Royal Society of British Artists, 2017. Joanne teaches weekly general art classes to adults in Staplehurst and Sculpture workshops from her studio in Sutton Valence, Kent.
