Joanne Weaver works as a professional artist with a particular interest in the human condition and health. She runs art classes (Art Works) for all ages and abilities in various locations in Kent.

I worked as a nurse for 23 years and this has heavily influenced my creativity. Whilst studying, part time at The University of Creative Arts, I was also working with addiction, as a foster carer and a practice nurse - I became very adept at juggling.
My art work, almost inevitably, but not always, relates to social comment, although I have left nursing it has not left me.

I am an Arts Award facilitator, anyone between the age of 10-26 yrs can undertake a programme to achieve a nationally recognised qualification in art. I can run this programme in schools, prisons, youths clubs and as a one to one for home school.
